For the second year in a row, YANA had a presence at The Yale Philanthropy Conference, an interdisciplinary forum hosted by students at the Yale School of Management for current and future leaders focused on the business of social change. It brings together thinkers, students, and professionals from leading institutions and foundations from across the country to foster discussion about the role of philanthropy in the contemporary society, strengthen professional networks, build the management acumen necessary for vibrant institutions, and leadership in the social sector and beyond. This year’s conference title was “Values in Action.” Several Board members and volunteers represented YANA at a table next to the only other organizational table, The Paul Newman Foundation. We were in good company.
