September’s New York Monthly Meeting’s Spotlight featured Terence Li ’04, Executive Director of CitySquash, a non-profit youth development program that helps motivated and talented young people from economically-disadvantaged households in New York City fulfill their academic, athletic and personal potential.

Based in the Bronx at Fordham University and in Brooklyn at Poly Prep Country Day School, CitySquash invests deeply in each of its 230 participants. CitySquash’s intensive, year-round programming includes squash, tutoring, mentoring, community service, travel, high school placement, college prep, career services and more. Since the organization’s founding in 2002, 100% of CitySquash’s high school students have graduated from high school, and 98% of them have gone on to college. Over $20 million in financial aid scholarships have been awarded to CitySquash high school and college students, and 92% of CitySquash alums have become gainfully employed within six months of college graduation.
