On July 8, six board members of the Yale Club and Scholarship Foundation of Hartford (YCH), including YANA members Adam Cohen (YCH Treasurer) and Michael Kurs, joined the Club’s summer interns for an informal get-together at Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana in West Hartford, where they heard from the interns about their placements, commiserating over pizza, birch and root beers.

The Club’s four summer interns attended. They are:
- Nadrina M. Ebrahimi (YC ’19) whose activities this summer at the Hill-Stead Museum include assisting with curating items from the museum’s Degas collection;
- Timothy J. (“TJ”) Noel-Sullivan (YC ’20) who serves as a teaching assistant in Real Art Ways program “Neighborhood Studios: Eye on Video,” a filmmaking program for Hartford area teens;
- Katie Lynn Schlick (YC ’21), who is splitting her time between the Office of Pollution Prevention and the Land & Water Resources Division-Coastal Planning unit of the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, and
- Gabriel Mesa (YC ’22), who is working with the Connecticut Invention Convention where he is translating the organization’s materials into Spanish and helping to develop their “Inventor of the Week” program.
The Club supports the internship program through an annual fund raising appeal. The appeal has regularly been enhanced by an anonymous donor’s challenge grant. With the success of prior year campaigns, the Club seeded the Frank O.H. Williams Summer Fellowship Fund, a designated fund for summer internships.
